Installation

Installation is as simple as a bulb and ballast replacement. The ballast of the fixture is replaced with the LED driver, the bulb is replaced with the LED Head. Two other fixture modifications must be made: the reflector inside the fixture needs to be removed and the socket holding the bulb needs to be removed. We supply a special plate that is used in place of the socket. It is a far stronger and safer installation. The socket is designed to hold a very light weight bulb, and installing a heavier retrofit kit into the socket will eventually cause failure. While some vendors will sell you a retrofit kit with a socket adapter, we strongly recommend against it.
