LED Q&A
Q. How long does LED Lighting last?
A. That all depends on the bulb, the driver, and the environment it is used in. LED Manufacturers design their bulbs to specific parameters. They may design their drivers to drive the LED Diodes to higher levels, which increases the lumens but decreases the life. Heat is also a big contributor to the life of a LED bulb. Enclosing a LED bulb in a small space without airspace will reduce the life of a LED bulb. However, when designed correctly and installed properly, bulbs can last as much as 200,000 hours.
